By Bus

Ottawa is extremely accessible by public transportation (bus). For a bus route map, information on fares, etc., visit the OC Transpo website [www.octranspo.com]. Guests flying into Ottawa airport can even skip the rental car and take the number 97 bus downtown (Rideau Centre). Please feel free to ask Erin about taking the bus in Ottawa – they are clean and efficient, and a good way to reduce the stress of driving and parking!

By Foot

Both the church and the reception venue are located in the downtown area. Weather permitting, it will be extremely easy for guests to walk to both places if you have chosen a hotel downtown. The reception venue is just over one mile (1.6 km) from the church. [Mapquest directions.]

By Car

For those guests who are driving, but are unfamiliar with downtown Ottawa, please be aware there are many one-way streets. We recommend that you user MapQuest or Google Maps from your hotel. Street parking is available near the Church.

For the Courtyard, there is a pay parking lot on the south side of George Street.  If you are out and about that weekend, there are many other parking lots in the downtown area: http://www.ottawakiosk.com/parking_maps.html

Carpooling

Many of our guests will be travelling to Ottawa from the same locations. If you would like to request or offer carpooling opportunities for other guests, please fill out the carpooling info field on the RVSP form (or call or email us).

Getting Around Ottawa

Ottawa is a great vacation destination. Within the downtown area, there are many things to see and do.

Recommended sites include: Parliament Hill, the National Art Gallery, the Museum of Civilization, and the Byward Market, where you should be sure to buy a Beaver Tail.
